ORDER :- The petitioner has clearly stated today that she has already sold the property to one K. Chaoyaima Singh about 8 months ago for Rs. 500/- by means of a deed duly executed by her. The difficulty arose at the time of its registration. Resolution 6-A of the Manipur State Darbar dated 25-7-1931 runs as follows : "No widow shall dispose of property left by her husband without the written order of the Judicial Member." This application for the grant of sale certificate after about 8 months of the sale does not come within the purview of the above resolution. According to the resolution she could only dispose of the property after obtaining the written order from the proper authority. Granting of the sale certificate now after that sale will tantamount to a confirmation of the sale already effected which is not warranted by the above resolution. This application, is therefore, rejected. The patta produced by the petitioner is to be returned to her. Application rejected.
