Short Note : 1. The petitioner was promoted as Superintendent, Law Department on 13th June 1969. The petitioner prays that he should have been promoted to that post from 21st July 1961. The main relief claimed by the petitioner is that he should be given the pay, emoluments and all other benefits of that post as if he was working on that, post from 21st July 1961. The petitioner's relief is essentially a relief for claim of money. The petitioner has an alternative remedy of filing a civil suit. Petition dismissed.
