Short Note : 1. The suit was instituted for issuance of permanent injunction restraining the defendants from taking possession of the suit land. 2. Held: This Court has been taken through the entire order by the learned counsel for the applicant. This Court does not find any adjudication on the question as to who was in actual possession of the suit land on the date of the institution of the suit. This is a crucial question for decision of application for issuance of interim injunction. The object of issuing an interim in junction is to maintain the status quo existing on the date of the institution of the suit. Narbada Prasad v. Bira, 1961 JLJ SN 345, Durg Transport Co.
