JUDGMENT 1. - Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Public Prosecutor for the State. 2. The revision is admitted only on question of sentence. The petitioner stands convicted for the offence under Section 304 A, Indian Penal Code, and has been sentenced to three months rigorous imprisonment and to a fine of Rs. 1,000/-. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was about 22 years of age at the time of commission of the offence, so a lenient view in the matter may be taken. In my opinion a sentence of two months' rigorous imprisonment would be adequate besides the sentence of fine of Rs. 1,000/- (One thousand). 3. Accordingly, the revision petition is partly allowed and the sentence of the petitioner is reduced from three months' rigorous imprisonment to two months' rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 1,000/-(one thousand) in default of payment of fine to further undergo rigorous imprisonment for two months.Revision partly allowed. *******
