Short Note : 1. By this petition under Article 227 of the Constitution, the petitioner seeks to challenge the order of the Board of Revenue which is a tribunal constituted under the Madhya Pradesh Land Revenue Code. 2. At the outset, an objection is taken that under the amended Article 227 of the Constitution the High Court is deprived of the supervisory jurisdiction, therefore, the petition cannot be maintained. After the amended Constitution, the power of the High Court under Article 227 is restricted to superintendence over all Courts subject to its appellate jurisdiction and by the omission of the reference to tribunals occurring in clause (1) of original Article 227, it has been made clear that nothing in that Article shall be construed as giving a High Court any jurisdiction to question any judgment of any inferior Court which is not otherwise subject to appeal or revision. As a result of this abolition of jurisdiction over tribunals, a petition under Article 227 seeking to challenge the judgment of a tribunal is incompetent. The petitioner under Article 227, therefore, be not maintainable. The learned counsel for the petitioner also does not press the petition. Petition dismissed.
