E.S.VENKATARAMIAH, R.S.PATHAK

body1981
Judgment Pathak, J.-After hearing learned counsel for the parties, it appears to us to be eminently just and reasonable that the interim order made by the High Court on February 10, 1981 be modified insofar that a sum of rupees twenty lakhs shall be paid by the appellants and the stay order will operate in respect of the balance. The payment will be made within one month from today. The undertaking for repayment rendered before the High Court will continue in force as also the remaining directions contained in the High Court order. 2. Having regard to the urgent nature of the dispute pending before the High Court in the writ petition, it is hoped that the High Court will ensure expeditious disposal of the writ petition, if possible, with in two months from today. 3. The appeal is disposed of accordingly with no order as to costs. For Citation : 1981 (Supp) SCC 50 (1)
