Y.V. CHANDRACHUD, CJI. (1) HEARD counsel. Special leave granted. (2) INSOFAR as the claim for uniforms is concerned, the appellant, the Municipal Committee of Moga, will be liable to give one winter uniform and one summer uniform only to the workmen with effect from 8/01/1980. If any of the workmen have not already been given uniforms as stated above, they shall be paid Rs. 75.00 for a summer uniform and Rs. 200.00 for a winter uniform. Insofar as the national holidays and holidays for festivals are concerned, we maintain the award, that is to say, if any workman is required to work on any national holiday or a day of festival, he shall be paid twice the daily wages for that day. The computation shall be done accordingly. (3) THE appeal will stand disposed of in terms of this Order. (4) THERE will be no order as to costs.
