JUDGMENT : V.D. Tulzapurkar, J. - After hearing counsel on both sides we dispose of the appeal in the following terms: 2. The petitioner/appellant is now permitted to declare the results of the examination held on December 18 and 19, 1980. However, on behalf of the appellant the learned Attorney-General agrees that nine posts would be kept reserved for the nine respondents and their seniority would also be maintained in case they succeed in the High Court in their writ petition. The learned Attorney-General has also agreed to postpone any further examination till the High Court disposes of the writ petition on merits. We find that the High Court was requested to dispose of the writ petition within two months from the date of this Court's order made on December 16, 1980 but it has not been done. We therefore direct the High Court to dispose of the writ petition in question as expeditiously as possible preferably within three months from the date of the receipt of this order by it. 3. There will be no order as to costs.
