JUDGMENT R.C. Deo Sharma, J. - This petition, titled as one under Article 226 of the Constitution, has been received in the registry of this Court, from one Ramashish Rai, who went to see some undertrials or convicts confined in Unnao Jail. The said persons, confined in the jail, have prayed through this petition that the facility of the High Court Library, may be made available to them so that they may file a proper affidavit etc. and seek their remedy, as they have been detained illegally in the jail. 2. The petition does not make any other specific prayer. 3. Making the facility of High Court Library available to a person, who is either an undertrial or convict confined in jail, is not possible, nor this is a legal or fundamental right available to the petitioners which could be enforced by the exercise of extraordinary powers of this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution. 4. The petition is misconceived and is, accordingly, dismissed. 5. The petitioners may be informed through the Superintendent of Jail, Unnao. (Petition dismissed)
