(1) THE respondent-Management has responded to the suggestion made by the court favourably and made a positive approach by making the statement that it will pay to the concerned workmen in employment at the material time in the Dharangadhara Chemical Works Ltd. a sum of Rs. 10 lakhs in full and final settlement of the claim of the workmen for payment of bonus in the context of the agreement dated 28/05/1975 in such manner as may be directed by the court. The workmen have also evinced a positive response and have accepted the suggestion made by the court. Under the circumstances, the respondent-Management is directed to pay to the concerned workmen who are entitled to the payment of bonus for the relevant period pursuant to the aforesaid agreement a sum of Rs. 10 lakhs in the following manner : RS 1 lakh shall be paid to the workmen on or before 10/02/1987. Thereafter a sum of Rs. 1 lakh shall be paid to them on or before the 10th of each succeeding month till the entire amount of Rs. 10 lakhs is paid in full. In view of the order passed by us the workmen concerned withdraw the writ petition giving rise to the present appeal and also withdraw the dispute per-taining to bonus for the relevant years pending in the concerned Industrial tribunal. (2) THE appeal is disposed of accordingly. There will be no order as to costs.
