JUDGMENT Om Prakash, J. - The petitioner seeks quashing of the order dated 17-2-1988 (Annexure `4' to the writ petition) cancelling his result for High School Examination, 1987. 2. Upon a perusal of the charge-sheet (Annexure `1' to the writ petition), it appears that the charge levelled against the petitioner is that the map supplied to the petitioner along with answer book, was torn out. It is not known as to what inference has been drawn by the authorities from the factum of tearing out the map. Merely the fact that the map was torn out, will not establish that the petitioner resorted to any immoral practice or serious irregularity, as stated in the impugned order (Annexure `8' to the writ petition). 3. The map in the condition of being torn out has been attached with the answer book and no inference has been drawn that it was substituted for the map supplied to the petitioner with the answer book. 4. From the facts and circumstances it clearly appears that the authorities have acted wholly unjustifiably without giving any cogent reasons for cancelling the result. 5. For the reasons, the writ petition is disposed of finally, and the impugned order (Annexure `4' to the writ petition) is quashed. The respondent is directed to declare that the result of the petitioner within 15 days from the date, a copy of this order is produced before the respondent. There would be no order as to costs. the petitioner on receipt of usual Petition allowed. 6. Let a copy of this charges within two days.
