JUDGMENT B.L. Yadav, J. - By the present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India the petitioner has prayed for a writ oi mandamus directing the opposite party no. 1, the Collector/Dy. Director of Consolidation, Gorakhpur, to dispose of his application. 2. It appears that notification under Section 4 of U.P.C.H. Act 1953 has been issued. The mandamus sought is in respect of some irregularity in preparation of entries in the revenue record. It has been further prayed that the entries of 1376 and 1377, Fasli may be made the basis for carrying out the consolidation operation as these were the entries before the land record operation. 3. Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, I am of the view that there are no merits in the present petition. As the consolidation operation has commenced, the irregularities in preparing the relevant revenue entries or irregularities in these entries can be corrected when objections are filed and evidence is led. 4. In case an application has been filed before respondent no. 1, that would be disposed of by him, but that cannot be made the basis for issuance of a writ of mandamus. 5. The present petition lacks merit and the same is dismissed summarily. 6. A copy of this order may be given to the learned counsel for the petitioner within 24 hours on payment of usual charges.
