ORDER : A.M. Ahmadi, J. 1. Special leave granted. 2. The appellants who were not selected, the selection having been based entirely on interviews, have approached this Court against the impugned one word dismissal order by the High Court. The advertisement No. 1/88 dated 22nd January, 1988 shows that there were as many as 54 posts of Agricultural Department Officers, the educational qualification whereof was B.Sc. (Agriculture) and those with Hons degree were to be preferred. The appellants claim that they are B.Sc (Agriculture) with Hons and instead of preferring them candidates who were mere B.Sc. (Agriculture) have been selected by Board. It is also alleged that the selection was a mere eye-wash because as many as 200 candidates were interviewed on one single day. A specific allegation has been made that many of those selected candidates do not possess the Hons qualification and names of some of them have also been disclosed. In these circumstances, we think that this was not a matter which the High Court should have disposed of by a one word order. We, therefore, set aside that order and remit the matter to the High Court for disposal in accordance with law after notice to the State Government. 3. The appeal is allowed with no order as to costs. Appeal allowed.
