JUDGMENT : Let communication go to the Registrars of all the High Courts to furnish information regarding pendency of habeas corpus writ petitions in Preventive Detention cases with the duration of their pendency. The communication may also state that the Registrars may forward the procedural rules or guidelines, if any, issued by the High Courts for the conduct of such cases along with the information: The communication may be sent by Telex/Fax and the information should reach this Court without fail within two weeks from today. The Registrar (Judi.) of this Court may personally ensure that the communication is sent latest by tomorrow. He may also impress upon the Registrars of the High Courts that the information is urgently required and must be communicated in time. Let the petition come up after two weeks.
