Tej Pal Saini v. State Bank of Patiala

1993-02-26

K.RAMASWAMY, R.M.SAHAI

body1993
ORDER : K. Ramaswamy and R.M. Sahai, JJ. 1. Though there is some scope for the grievance of the petitioner in not allocating the marks for weightage on educational qualifications, professional qualifications or service records as having been done in other Nationalised Banks, namely, the Canara Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank, Syndicate Bank, Punjab National Bank, Bank of India and Indian Overseas Bank, this is an area where the Management and the Officers' Associations should sort out this problem. This is not for the Court to regulate how much percentage is to be awarded in each of the categories. Admittedly, the petitioner had appeared 4 times in the examination and on none of the occasions, he was selected. It is not a case of any allegation of mala fide or bias against any particular individual officer. Under these circumstances, the High Court is justified in not entertaining the writ petition. The SLP is therefore, dismissed. Petition dismissed.
