JUDGMENT : 1. Learned Attorney General states that he had apprised the Governor of Tamil Nadu of the correct legal position whereafter he has been informed that the Governor of Tamil Nadu has forwarded the papers of the petitioner Dr. Subramaniam Swamy raising the question of disqualification of respondent No. 2 to the Election Commission of India for doing the needful. In view of this submission made by the learned Attorney General, this writ petition has become infructuous and indisposed of accordingly. C.P.No. 46/93: Having heard Mr. Shanti Bhushan, learned senior counsel for the petitioner and Dr. Subramanian Swamy, the alleged contemnor and having considered the submissions of Dr. Subramaniam Swamy that he has the highest respect for the judiciary and he has always acted consistent with that stand, we are satisfied that no further action is required in the matter. The proceedings are, therefore, dropped.
