R. R. K. TRIVEDI, J. ( 1 ) HEARD learned counsel for petitioner and Shri d. P. Singh, learned counsel appearing for respondents No. 1 and 2. ( 2 ) THIS petition has been filed challenging the order dated 4-9-1993 by which petitioner has been transferred as Branch Manager from Kaurihar to Holagarh. ( 3 ) THE learned counsel for petitioner has challenged the order mainly on the ground that petitioner is a member of U. P. Co-operative Bank centralised Services Rule, 1976 and be could not be transferred except by the order of the Chairman of the Administrative Committee or Managing director/secretary of the U. P. Co-operative Bank Ltd. , Lucknow who is an ex officio member secretary as provided in Rule 4-b (v) of the aforesaid rules. ( 4 ) I have considered the submissions of the learned counsel, and in my opinion, the petitioner being a Branch Manager could not be a member of the Centralised Services under Rule 3 of the Co-operative Bank Centralised services Rule of 1976 Only Manager of District Co-operative Bank has been included under Rule 2 (e) of the aforesaid Rules Bank has been defined and Central/district Cooperative Bank in U. P Cooperative Societies rules of 1968, Rule 2 (n) of the aforesaid Rule of 1968 define District co-operative Bank means Central Co-operative Bank having its Headquarters of the District From reading of the definition of the District co-operative Bank, it is clear that the word manager used in Rule 3 of the Co-operative Bank Centralised Services Rule of 1976 speaks of only about tbe Manager of the District Cooperative Bank at the Headquarters of the District and not about the managers if the subsidiary branches of such banks. ( 5 ) IN view of the above, the submission of learned counsel for petitioner can not be accepted. By the impugned order, the petitioner has been transferred to another branch, which is also situated at a distance of 10 kms from the city of Allahabad. I do not find any prejudice to the petitioner by such transfer. ( 6 ) SUBJECT to the aforesaid observations, this petition has no force, and it is rejected accordingly. No order as to costs. Petition dismissed .
