JUDGMENT : 1. Pending the disposal of Writ Petition (Civil) No. 200/95 (Supreme Court Bar Association v. Union of India & Anr. which has been referred by our order dated 21.3.95 to the Constitution Bench we clarify that the order passed in the Contempt Petition (Crl.) No. 3/94 in relation to the issue referred to the Constitution Bench was in exercise of power under Article 142 of the Constitution which power no other Court has and therefore prima facie it cannot be exercised by any other Court. Hence till the disposal of the petition regarding this Court's power to debar a lawyer from practising no other Court shall exercise jurisdiction and power in regard to suspension of an erring Member of the Bar who has been convicted for Contempt of Court for practising as a member of the Bar , till further orders.
