JUDGMENT : 1. Mr. Kapil Sibal, learned counsel appearing in I.A. No. 36 siates that the institution has been admitting Konkani speaking minority students even from outside the State. According to him, in view of Paras 5 and 6 of the Government Order No. ED 65, TEC 95 dated 16.8.95 issued by the Karnataka Government, it would not be permissible for the institution to admit linguistic minority students from outside the State. We are of the view that the practice which the institution is following for the last several years may continue till further orders. Paras 5 and 6 of the above State Government order shall not come in the' way of the institution while admitting the linguistic minority students. Needless to say that admission of the linguistic minority students shall have to be made on merit alone. I.A. is disposed of.
