JUDGMENT : 1. In these petitions under Article 32 of the Constitution, the constitutional validity of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 is challenged. A bench of this Court in M/s. Burrakur Coal Co. Ltd. v. The Union of India and Ors., 1962 (1) S.C.R. 44 has upheld the constitutional validity of the Act. These writ petitions are, therefore, dismissed. No costs.
