JUDGMENT : 1. The NEERI report - after stablization period - has not as yet been received. Adjourned to 19.2.96. 2. At this stage, a FAX message has been received from NEERI, which is placed on record. 3. It is stated before us that the Central Government has not as yet released its part of the subsidy for the construction of the common effluent treatment plants. Mr. Mahajan, appearing for the Central Government, very fairly states that he would look into the matter during this week and apprise the situation to the learned counsel for the tanneries as well as this Court. Mr. Mohan, learned counsel for the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board states that the report running into two volumes is ready. We have asked him to keep the report with him and place it before us alongwith the summary prepared in respect of the tanneries in Tamil Nadu. S.L.P(C) Nos. 1227-29/96: 4. Issue notice returnable on 19.2.96. Interim stay of the refund of the money already recovered by the petitioner. We further direct that the Bank Guarantee be not encashed in the mean time.
