JUDGMENT : 1. The learned Additional Solicitor General submitted that he has been instructed to make the statement on behalf of the Union of India that the Govt. of Nagaland has directed an enquiry into the incidents in question to be conducted by Justice D M Sen, a retired Judge of the Gauhati High Court. In view of this statement, about constitution of Commission of Enquiry, we deem it fit not to proceed with these writ petitions simultaneously. We may observe that depending on the report of the Commission of Enquiry and the outcome of that exercise, it would be open to the petitioners or any other person concerned, to resort to any appropriate proceedings in case any grievance relating to this matter survives thereafter. 2. The writ petitions are disposed of in this manner. 3. A copy of the order be sent to the Chief Secretary, State of Nagaland.
