M.M.PUNCHHI, S.RAJENDRA BABU

body1997
ORDER : M.M. Punchhi, J. 1. The appellant whose conviction under Section 325 of the Indian Penal Code and sentence of three years rigorous imprisonment was maintained by the High Court, was released on bail by this Court under orders dated 22-1-1990. Considerable time has elapsed thereafter. The victim of the crime was a nephew of the appellant. We hope that during this period all the wounds of the parties have healed up. No purpose now would be served in sending the appellant to jail at this stage. 2. We therefore reduce the sentence of the appellant to the period already undergone and dispose of the appeal.
