JUDGMENT : 1. The circumstances in which this petition came to be filed are indeed very unfortunate. It is for this reason that we had issued notice to the respondents. Mr. Chadha, learned counsel for Respondent No.2, has stated before us the efforts which have been made so far to rescue, if possible, K.V. Mohan, who was found missing in the mountaineering expedition after the turbulence had struck. He also assures us that the concerned authorities are continuing to make whatever efforts are possible even new to find out the exact position. He further states that if the petitioner or anyone else wanting to make any attempt to locate K.V. Mohan so indicates, the authorities would render whatever help is needed. He assures us that the authorities are themselves very disturbed and concerned and would like to do everything possible in the matter. In view of the statement made by the learned counsel for the respondent and the assurance given by him, of which we have no doubt, no further action in this matter is called for. 2. The Special Leave Petition is disposed of accordingly.
