JUDGMENT : 1. The petitioners made payments for the period 1979 to 1984 under protest, but did not follow this up until in somebody else's case it was found that the duty was not payable, whereupon they filed the writ petition. The submission that the petitioners did not know of the mistake until then is belied by the fact that the payments were made under protest. 2. The SLP is dismissed.
