CYRIAC JOSEPH ( 1 ) LEARNED counsel for the petitioner submits that as per clause 15 (2) of the Certified Standing Orders a working journalist is entitled to be represents in disciplinary proceedings by an official of a trade union of working journalists of which he is a member. He further submits that Mr. B. K. Paul, though a practising lawyer, is an official of the trade union of working journalists of which the petitioner is a member. He further submits that in the Certified Standing Orders there is no specific bar against the working journalists being represented by a practising lawyer. ( 2 ) ISSUE notice to the respondents to show cause as to why the writ petition be not admitted, returnable on 30th April, 1998. ( 3 ) THE petitioner may place on record a copy of the Certified Standing Orders before the next date. C. M. No. 2698/98 ( 4 ) ISSUE notice to the respondents for 30th April, 1998. In the meanwhile, further proceedings in the on going domestic enquiry against the petitioner will stand stayed till the next date. ( 5 ) LET copy of this order be given Dasti.
