K.T.THOMAS, M.B.SHAH

body1999
(1) LEAVE granted. (2) LEARNED counsel for the appellant State contends that the impugned order of the High Court cannot be sustained. This Court in Raj Deo Sharma case made certain directions to speed up trials. Subsequently this Court has modified some of those directions vide Raj Deo Sharma (II) v. State of Bihar. Learned counsel for the respondent has fairly conceded that in view of the modification made in the aforesaid decision the impugned order of the High Court cannot be sustained. Accordingly, we set aside the impugned order and direct the trial court to proceed with the trial.
