JUDGMENT : 1. Some of the States and union Territories have not so far framed Rules under Section 10 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. Learned counsel appearing for those States and Union Territories pray for some more time to do the needful. We grant three month's time to them for the purpose. 2. All the States and union Territories shall also file status report supported by an affidavit disclosing: (a) constitution of the Advisory Boards; and (b) the appointment of Dowry Prohibition Officers. in those States/Union Territories as required by the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. 3. The affidavit shall be filed along with the Status Report. Advance copy shall be given to the learned Amicus. 4. List after three months.
