ORDER : 1. It is stated by the learned Solicitor General that pursuant to the order dated 4th April, 2001 some correspondence has been exchanged with Professor Menon and the matter is being sorted out. However, we find that there was a note given by Mr. Sanjay Parikh to the learned Attorney General and copy of the same has been placed on record but there is no response of the Government to the contents of the said note. The Government should file an affidavit in response thereto, especially in view of the allegation contained in the note that hazardous material which had been imported but was not allowed to be cleared is alleged to have disappeared. Affidavit be filed in this regard within six weeks. 2. Affidavit pursuant to the order dated 27th of April, 2001 with regard to the impact of waste containing zinc will be filed by the Union of India within a week. Response to the same be filed within four weeks. 3. Pursuant to the direction of Professor Menon the C.S.I.R. is conducting some analysis of waste oil. The C.S.I.R. should give its report to Professor Menon within four weeks and the same should also be placed on record. 4. List the matters for direction with regard to fixing the date for final hearing after six weeks. I.A. No. 3 in C.A. No. 7660/1997 5. I.A. is dismissed.
