ORDER Karl Reddy, FC. - This is a petition under Section 16 of the Punjab Land Revenue Act, 1887 seeking to revise the order dated 30.5.2000 of the Additional Commissioner (Appeals), Jalandhar Division, Jalandhar whereby he accepted the revision petition of Natha Singh son of Mula Singh respondent No. 1 and set aside the order dated 31.5.1995 of the Sub Divisional Magistrate-cum-Collector, Ajnala and the order dated 31.3.1995 of the Assistant Collector IInd Grade, Ajnala, in proceedings for correction of khasra girdwari of land measuring 31K-14M comprised in Khasra Nos. 90//24/1(5-10), 25(8-0), 91//20(8-0), 91//21(7-12), 91//19/2(2-12) Khewat/Khatauni No. 80/137, 149/273, 181/341, 403/782, village Manj, Tehsil Ajnala, District Amritsar for crops Sauni 1990 till date. 2. The Assistant Collector IInd Grade, Ajnala vide his order dated 31.3.1995 had corrected the khasra girdawri in respect of land in dispute, in the names of Dilbagh Singh son of Karnail Singh, Subeg Singh son of Udham Singh, Satnam Singh son of Jarnail Singh and Bakhshish Singh son of Karnail Singh (present petitioner and respondents 2-4) w.e.f. Kharif 1994, and rejected the claim for the preceding period i.e. Kharif 1990 to Rabi 1994 on the ground that the jamabandi for the year 1993-94 had already been prepared. The appeal against that order was dismissed by the Collector, Ajnala vide his order dated 31.5.1995. 3. Counsel for the petitioner has placed on record a copy of the jamabandi for the year 1998-99 which shows the same parties in cultivating possession. It is settled law that the Revenue Officers have no jurisdiction to correct the jamabandi entries 1983 PLJ 58, 1990 PLJ 607, 1999 PLJ 284. 4. Accordingly, the revision petition is accepted and the impugned order of the Additional (sic). To be communicated. Revision allowed.
