JUDGMENT A.S.ANAND, CJI. (1) THROUGH this application, the applicant seeks modification of our order dated 23/03/2001 to a limited extent. (2) BY our order dated 23/03/2001, we had accepted the scheme proposed by the director general of health services with certain modifications with regard to SI.Nos. 06, 07 and 08. The modification made by us to that scheme reads as follows: "INSOFAR as sl. no. 06 is concerned, i.e. "II round of counselling" instead of the proposed period, we fix the period as 18th July to 20th July. Insofar as sl.no.07 is concerned, i.e. "Last date for receipt of vacancy position in DGHS" instead of the proposed date 18th July, we fix the same as 11th July. Regarding sl.no.08, i.e. "Whole admission and allotment process will over on," instead of the proposed date as 16th August, we fix the same as 1st August." (3) THE proposed revised schedule is to be effective from the academic year 2002. (4) THE learned solicitor general, appearing on behalf of the applicant, submits that in case the time schedule fixed by this Court by modification of Sl. Nos. 06, 07 and 08 (supra) on 23/03/2001 is to be adhered to, the students would be put to great difficulties. It is submitted that the last date for receipt of vacancy position and for filing of application for change of college for second round of counselling be instead fixed as 15th July instead of 11th July and the date for completion of admission and allotment process be changed to 7th August instead of 1st August. The submission made appeals to us and would help in streamlining the process of admission and allotment. (5) WE, accordingly, allow this application and in modification of our order dated 23/03/2001 direct that the date 11th July be read as 15th July for sl.no.07 - "Last date for receipt of vacancy position in DGHS" and 1st August be read as 7th August for Sl.no.08 - "Whole admission and allotment process will over on", in our order of 23/03/2001. (6) IN all other respects, the directions contained in our order dated 23/03/2001 shall continue to remain in operation.
