ORDER : A.S.ANAND, CJI. Mr. Jitender Sharma, learned Amicus has made certain suggestions. It is submitted that those may be treated as his report for consideration of the Government so that amendment, if any, which may be required to Noise Pollution (Regulation & Control) Rules, 2000, is undertaken with a view to control noise pollution. Copy of the suggestions has been furnished to learned counsel for Union of India and other respondents. Mr. Krishan Mahajan, learned counsel appearing for Union of India submits that he shall consult the Government on the basis of the suggestions made by the learned Amicus and report to this Court the outcome of the discussions. 2. It is submitted by Mr. Jitender Sharma, learned Amicus that in view of the forthcoming Dussehra and Diwali festival, it is necessary to give certain directions to control noise pollution. 3. Learned counsel for the parties submit that the matter may be taken up on 27th September, 2001 at 10.30 A.M. when they may be in a position to make certain suggestions in that behalf. We accede to the request. 4. List on 27th September, 2001 at 10.30 A.M.
