JUDGMENT : 1. Keeping in view the purpose which is sought to be achieved by the directions given by the Division Bench of the High Court of Delhi in the impugned order, we have made a suggestion to Mr. Soli J. Sorabjee, learned Attorney General for Union of India as well as Mr. K.K. Venugopal, learned senior advocate appearing for the Election Commission to indicate by way of suggestions supported by an affidavit, if necessary, steps which can be taken in modification/elaboration/substitution of the directions given by the High Court to achieve the objective of checking criminalisation of politics and misuse of money and muscle power. As prayed for, they are granted 3 weeks' time for the purpose. An advance copy of the suggestions shall be furnished' to Ms. Kamini Jaiswal, learned counsel for the respondent, who shall have one week time to examine and put up any further suggestions.
