JUDGMENT P.C. Verma, J. : Notices have been accepted by learned chief standing counsel for opposite parties No. 1 and 2 and for O.P. No. 3, Sri Bram Singh has accepted notice. 2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner. 3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the application for correction of the date of birth is lying undisputed of since 1997 with the respondent no. 3. The petitioner has given cogent reasons with the documentary evidence for correction of date of birth. The correction of date of birth has also been recommended by the D.I.O.S. concerned on account of inaction on the part of respondent No.3, the petitioner is suffering. 4. No useful purpose shall be served in keeping the petition pending. Therefore the petition is disposed of with the diereses to the respondent No.3 to dispose of the application of the petitioner relating to correction of date of birth of petitioner, if it has not yet been disposed of within six weeks from the date of production of a copy of this order. 5. With the above direction the writ petition is disposed of.
