ORDER : 1. Leave granted. 2. We have heard learned counsel for the parties. In the peculiar facts and circumstances of this case, where the sample of the medicine 'Amrut Kadha' (for which appellant had a valid licence) was collected and on the basis of the report of the chemical analyser the trial court recorded an order of conviction against which an appeal is pending in the High Court, we consider it appropriate to direct release of the appellant on bail pending disposal of the appeal in the High Court. The appellant is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing a bail bond in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- with two sureties of the like amount to the satisfaction of the Sessions Judge, Solapur. There is, however, no stay insofar as imposition of fine is concerned. 3. While granting bail we shall not be understood to have expressed any opinion on the merits of the case. 4. We request the High Court to dispose of the matter pending in the High Court, both in the earlier case as well as in the present case, expeditiously. The appeal is disposed of.
