JUDGMENT : 1. The judgment in Ghaziabad Development Authority v. Union of India, (2000) 3 Comp LJ 402 (SC) : (2000) 6 SCC 113 only opines that interest @ 18% on equitable grounds can he awarded on equitable grounds in appropriate cases. Given the facts recorded in the order under challenge, the rate of 18% per annum is an award at a reasonable rate. The special leave petition is dismissed.
