JUDGMENT : 1. The Bhure Lal Committee had been constituted initially under the orders of this Court and the members of the Committee were specified. It is after the constitution of this Committee that powers under Section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act were conferred on the Committee. As of today, therefore, this is a Committee duly constituted under the above said Section of the Act. 2. The present term of the Committee expires on 28th January, 2003. The term of the Committee has, therefore, to be extended. The Government may issue the necessary notification in respect thereto but it shall not change the members of the Committee presently constituted without permission of this Court. 3. To come up for further orders on 16th December, 2002.
