Judgment 1. This letters patent appeal has been filed against the order dated 22nd October 2002 on CWJC No. 11547 of 2002 : Shashi Shekhar Narayan Sinha V/s. Rajendra Agriculture University, Pusa and others. 2. The contention on behalf of the appellant-petitioner is that he is being wrongfully denied pay parity by the respondents and this Court ought to issue a, direction for protection to receive pay parity and consequential benefits. 3. The contention of the appellant belies the record. Firstly, the learned Judge has recorded that the appellant retired from Rajendra Agriculture University, Pusa, Bihar, on a fresh appointment, secondly, at the time when the appellant was transferred from Ranchi University to the subsequent University, the order of the secretariat of the Chancellor dated 18 June 1987 (Annexure-5 to the appeal) clearly mentioned that "the teachers after joining new place of posting will loose their liens in the parent Universities....." and thirdly, the appellant had been appointed afresh at the Rajendra Agriculture University, Pusa, Bihar by the order of 5th May 1982. 4. In the circumstances, the contention of the appellant that he would desire pay parity from his previous University is unfounded. There is no error in the order of the learned Judge on the writ petition. 5. Thus, dismissed.
