JUDGMENT : 1. There exists a Standing Committing under the Indian Board for Wild Life, to resolve the problems like the present one. 2. The present dispute is between the States of Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal with regard to an alternative road being provided for so as to prevent the disturbance to the wild life in the Corbett Tiger Reserve. 3. Having regard to the nature of dispute between the two States, it would be more appropriate if both the States put forth their respective proposal and counter-proposal before the Standing Committee which Committee can appropriately go into the matter and try to solve the dispute. The final decision of the Standing Committee be taken within five weeks from today and the same be communicated to this Court. The proposal and counter-proposal by the respective States should be given to the Standing Committee within a week from today. 4. Put up after six weeks. 5. The main petition which is kept pending may be listed in the month of January, 2003 before a Bench presided over by Hon'ble Mr. Justice Y.K. Sabharwal.
