ORDER : 1. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. 2. Considering the averments made in these applications that the petitioners/applicants brick-kilns owners have complied with the recommendations made by the NEERI in its report dated 24th April, 1996 with regard to the controlling of air pollution due to brick kilns vis-a-vis significant monument and existing habitations. Learned counsel for the applicants further states that all these brick-kilns are beyond 20 KMs from the TAJ monument. 3. In view of this averment, we direct to have a Joint Inspection of various brick kilns as mentioned in these two applications i.e. in IA Nos.302 and 304-305 in WP (C) 13381/84 to be carried out by the two representatives of Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), two representatives of the U.P. State Pollution Control Board (UPSPCB) and one representative of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). Report in this regard to be submitted as early as possible but not later than one month. It would be open to the Committee to find out whether there is compliance with the NEERI's Report as well as the standards fixed by the CPCB and also to verify the distance of the said brick-kilns from Taj and other significant monuments.
