PRADEEP KANT, J. Heard Sri Shailendra Shukla, Advocate, holding brief of Sri V. D. Misra learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel. 2. Petitioners grievance is that petitioners arms licence was suspended by the District Magistrate, Barabanki vide order dated 28-2-2000. The ground for suspending the licence was that he was arrested under Section 151, Cr. P. C. It has been brought on the record by the petitioner that by means of the order dated 23-7-2000 the proceedings under Sections 107, 116, Cr. P. C. have been dropped and as such there appears no reason for keeping the arms licence under suspension. Petitioner has already submitted his explanation against the show cause notice but till date no action has been taken after submission of the reply. 3. Learned Standing Counsel has also submitted that after dropping of the proceedings under Sections 107, 116, Cr. P. C. the arms licence cannot be kept suspended. 4. Writ petition is, therefore, allowed and the order dated 28-2-2000 by which petitioners arms licence was suspended, is hereby quashed. No orders as to costs. Petition allowed. .
