ORDER S.J. Mukhopadhaya, J. 1. The petitioner claims to have retired from the services of the Notified Arras Committee. Jasidih on 31st May, 1993 after serving about 35 years. 2. She has made grievance that the respondents have not paid the total retiral benefits, though more than seven years have passed. 3. In spite of notice, the authorities did not choose to appear. 4. The counsel for the State also did not choose to tile any affidavit on behalf of the Deputy Commissioner, Deoghar or the District Provident Fund Officer, Deoghar. 5. Having regard to the facts and circumstances, the case is remitted to the competent authority of the Notified Area Committee, Jasidih/Executive Officer- cum-Special Officer or Administrator, whoever may be, and the District Provident Fund Officer, Deoghar who will enquire and pay the admitted retiral benefits to which the petitioner is entitled, if not yet paid, with 5% interest from the date of retirement, apart from the statutory interest, within two months from the date of receipt of representation, as may be preferred, along with a copy of this order. 6. If the authorities dispute any claim or part thereof, will forward the ground to the petitioner within the aforesaid period. 7. In case the admitted retiral benefits with interest aforesaid are not paid in time, the authorities will be liable to pay interest @ 10% instead of 5%. 8. The writ petition stands disposed of.
