ORDER S.J. Mukhopadhaya, J. 1. The petitioner claims to have retired from the services of the Bihar State Food & Civil Supplies Corporation (Corporation for short) on 31st July, 2000. 2. His grievance is that the respondents have not yet released nor paid the retrial benefits on the ground that the service book as was lying with the BDO, Coilkera is missing. It is stated the BDO Coilkera has been asked to open a duplicate Service Book. 3. As the issue relating to payment of retrial benefit is to be determined by the Respondents at the first instance, the case is remitted with direction to BDO, Coilkera, Singhbhum to look into and prepare a duplicate service book of the petitioner, if so required, within a month from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. He will forward the service book to the Managing Director of the Corporation within a week thereof. 4. In case, there is difficulty will give reason and forward the details relating to petitioner as is available in his office within the time schedule above. 5. The Managing Director of the Corporation and A.G. Bihar, Patna will ensure payment of admissible retrial benefits within two months from the date of receipt of information. 6. If no information is received by the Managing Director of the Corporation within the time schedule above, he will ask the petitioner to give details and on that basis will determine the benefits. 7. The Provident Fund Officer, Chaibasa. in his turn, is directed to finalise the admitted Provident Fund with statutory inter-est within a month from the date of receipt of representation, as may be preferred by the petitioner. 8. In any case, the total benefits are to be paid by the respondents within a total period of four months from the date of receipt of this order. 9. The petitioner will file individual representations before the Deputy Commissioner, Singhbhum, BDO, Coilkera, Managing Director of the Corporation, Provident Fund Officer, Chaibasa and A.G. Bihar along with a copy of this order. 10. The petition stands disposed of.
