P.G. AGARWAL, J. — The learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the APPSC. 2. Pursuant to an advertisement issued on 6th of August, 2001, the petitioner has submitted his application for the post of Medical Officer, Allopathy. The petitioner, however, did not file any document in proof of his age and, as such, her application was rejected. Hence, the present application under article 226 of the Constitution. The respondents have filed an affidavit-in-opposition stating inter alia that the requirement to submit the age proof certificate is a mandatory requirement and this was disclosed in the advertisement and as well as in the concerned Form and non-production of the said certificate, which was a major defect in the application of the petitioner, the application was rejected. 3. In the present case, there is no dispute at the bar that the advertisement dated 6.8.2001, Annexure-III, which provides that matriculation or Board of Secondary School Certificates or the Admit Card in proof of his age are required to be submitted with the application. In the Form of the application also under Serial No. 6, the above facts are mentioned. In the present case, petitioner has fairly admitted that no such certificate or admit card was submitted by him in support of his age or to proof of her age as required. The case of the petitioner is that the above requirement is not an essential requirement and it was not mandatory and for her failure to do so, the petitioner cannot be shunted out. 4. The case of the respondent on the other hand is that the age of the candidate is an essential factor for accepting or rejecting the application. The requirement for submission of necessary certificate for proof of the age for the post of Medical Officer, Allopathy is a must. There were as many as six other applications which are rejected on the ground of non-production of age proof certificate. The requirement of educational qualification certificate and age proof certificate are a must while processing the application for jobs. The Public Service Commission do receive hundred, or thousands of applications against their advertisement and the statements as regards the age or the educational qualification mentioned in the application cannot be presumed to be true unless supporting documents, as required are filed. The Public Service Commission do receive hundred, or thousands of applications against their advertisement and the statements as regards the age or the educational qualification mentioned in the application cannot be presumed to be true unless supporting documents, as required are filed. We do not propose to provide that the Public Service Commission cannot insist upon for attaching of such certificates along with the application. 5. There is another aspect of the matter also. The recruitment process is a time bound process and as such, there is no scope for granting time to various applicants to file various documents later on. The applicant is required to file necessary documents alongwith the application within the stipulated time or the date. As the petitioner has failed to submit his required documents, no case is made out for condoning the lapses. It is submitted that in view of the interim order passed by this Court, petitioner was allowed for appearing in the examination and the result has not been declared. It is submitted that the interim order for declaring of the result was also given. In view of the aforesaid, we find that no case is made out for giving any direction for declaring the result of the petitioner, as I find no merit in this writ petition. Writ petition is accordingly dismissed. Interim order stands vacated. No costs.
