ORDER Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and also the State counsel. The short point is involved in this writ petition is that as per Government resolution after the pay revision of the employees together with teachers the arrears of difference of pay was to be deposited by the State Government with the individual G.P.F accounts of the employees for the period from 1.1.1971 to 31.3.1973 but according to the petitioners even after their retirement when the bills for that purpose submitted the same has been returned on the ground that such amounts has never been deposited. In that way let the individual petitioners made representation before the respondent no. 3 along with a copy of this order before the respondent no. 3 who shall pass necessary orders for payment of the amount within a period of eight weeks after the representation is filed on giving hearing to the individual petitioners and on consultation of the service records of the individual petitioners and on such orders being passed the respondent no. S shall pass necessary authorization order within a period of four weeks next thereafter. It is made clear that the petitioners shall be entitled to get up to date statutory interest on such authorization as delay ha£ been caused for the negligence on the part of the respondent authorities. If the time frame as mentioned above is not maintained then the individual petitioners shall be further entitled to penal interest at the rate of 9% per annum over and above the statutory interest from the date of due till the date of realization. The writ petition is thus disposed of.
