JUDGMENT 1. - This petition has been filed by Birbal Ram on 25.2.2002 against a judgment of acquittal dated 7.4.2000 delivered by the learned Judicial Magistrate, Taranagar, Dist. Churu. 2. According to the office report, there is a delay of 596 days in filing the revision. 3. An application u/s. 5. of the Limitation Act has been filed and the sole reason given in the application, is that the petitioner continued to pursuade the State Authorities to file an appeal and they continued to assure him during all these period. 4. Needless to say that a revision has to be filed within 90 days from the judgment. This long delay is not at all explained. Who were the officials and when the petitioner visited that is not at all disclosed. More-over, there is not affidavit in support of the application. 5. I find no reason to condone the long delay and the application is dismissed. 6. Consequently, the revision petition being barred by time is also dismissed.Revision petition dismissed. *******
