Judgment R.L.Anand, J. 1. Present is a petition for quashment of complaint under Section 6 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 . The main stand of the petitioner is that the provisions of Section 7 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, as applicable to the State of Haryana, have not been complied with. It was obligatory on the part of the complainant to file a complaint under Section 6 of the Act, within one year of the marriage. The marriage took place on 28.8.1993 and the complaint was filed on 6.3.1997. After relying upon the judgment reported as 1987(2) RCR, 505, the present petition is allowed and the complaint with all consequential proceedings, stands quashed.
