ORDER : 1. Having heard parties, the State Government is called upon to explain whether any action has been taken against owners of Salt Mines who are employing minors as labourers. Government to also inform this Court what steps are taken to ensure that owners of Small Salt Mines, to whom the Factories Act does not apply, provide to the workers the basic amenities like gloves, gum boots, goggles, drinking water, etc. The Government to also indicate what steps it is taking to provide proper and adequate educational facilities and whether there are sufficient Mobile Health Units to cover all the areas and all the Salt Mines. 2. The Salt Commissioner to also inform this Court as to whether the Central Government Schemes have been implemented in all the areas and to what extent. 3. Adjourned for four weeks.
