JUDGMENT Mehtab S. Gill, J. - Heard. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner was posted in district Ferozepur as Senior Superintendent of Police for four years. There were many criminals against whom, he personally or through orders or directions from him, cases were registered and many of those cases are now pending before the Courts in Ferozepur. He has apprehension that when he goes to the Courts in Ferozepur to pursue his own case, his life is in danger. Learned counsel for the petitioner has further stated that the case FIR No. 129 dated 15.10.2002 be transferred anywhere in any Sessions Division in Haryana. 3. Learned counsel for the State has stated that the State has no objection if the case is transferred anywhere in any Sessions Division of Punjab or Chandigarh. 4. Every accused has a right of fair trial. The present petitioner has been posted in Ferozepur as a Senior Officer and in many other districts of the State of Punjab. 5. Case F.I.R. No. 129 dated October 15, 2002 under Sections 7, 13(2), 88 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, Police Station Mamdot, district Ferozepur, is transferred to the Session Division Ambala. 6. Petitioner shall appear before the Special Judge, designated under the Prevention of Corruption Act, Ambala on October 7, 2003. 7. With the above observations and directions, petition is disposed of. Petition allowed.
