ORDER : 1. Shri Anil Diwan, learned amicus curiae has filed a written submission in this matter on 30th October, 2003, whereby he has made two prayers, i.e., to strike down the provisions of Section 26(c) of the CVC Act, 2003 and the newly inserted Section 6A in the Delhi Special Police Establishment Act, 1946, whereunder the CBI functions. The interim relief prayed for is to stay the operation of the newly inserted Section 6A of the Delhi Special Police Establishment Act, 1946 to enable the CBI to inquire and investigate offences without any impediment or prior approval of the Government. 2. Learned Solicitor General prays for and is allowed four weeks' time to file response to the written submissions.
